Kayleigh Crabtree, a soon-to-be 11 year old from Beavercreek and Grace Bete, a 7 year old from Kettering, were among those honored during the 23rd Annual National Philanthropy Day Awards and Luncheon held on Tuesday at the Sinclair Community College Ponitz Center.
Grace and Kayleigh brought the house to their feet during their acceptance speeches.
Kayleigh was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia in 2010 and has raised more than $40,000 for the Leukemia/Lymphomia Society, Cure Search and A Special Wish Foundation.
Grace has been raising money ( including donating her birthday money) to help the poor served through the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
I had the pleasure of emceeing this event, and I like everyone else, was impressed and fell in love with these two young philanthropists.
Please take a few minutes to watch the video above. It will touch your heart and perhaps you will be able to help these two young girls with their mission.
